Welcome to the Spectator, bringing you a review of all the days action game by game, presented to you by the faces of the World Sevens, the one, the only award winning Rugby League Micronational Commentary team: Jimmy & Johnny
Pool A
Amerada Aeros v Lechardten Region
Amerada finally rack up a win after two losses. Lechardten was leading 8-0 at halftime but a second half comeback saw Amerada pile on 17 points to win the match 17-14. Finally a win for the side we'd dubbed the favourites.
Empire of Crofton v Treesia Knights
The Empire was up 8-6 at half time. Things looked grim for the Knights. But they rallied in the second half, keeping the Empire scoreless. Greg Nordman scored a try and Eoin kicked some goals (he got 5 from 10 attempts). One Man of the Match point went to Greg and another two points were given to Ryan Caruso. Final score 14-8 to Treesia.
Skerry Scuttlers v Farren Eayst Rangers
At Halftime the scores were 8-all, tension was high. Skerry hadn't won a game yet, the Rangers hadn't lost one. At Fulltime the Rangers were triumphant. 12-10 they had beaten the Scuttlers. (But Steven Richards, how good is he? He scored ALL of Skerry's points, a try and three goals. ALL of Skerry's points AGAIN!) The Rangers have won three from three - talk about unknowns! Skerry did well to scored 10 points against them, in there last two games combined the opposition has only scored 4 points.
Pool B
Tallandor Toreadors v Califario Bears
Tallandors back to its winning ways, defeating the Bears 12-4. For Califario, the defending champs, it dosn't look good. After losing there last two games since defeating the Free Republic (who defeated Tallandor!) they need to win some to stay in the race for the Cup.
Nova Pacaria Pirates v Kingdom of the Pups
What happened? (uh, a game of rugby league) The Pirates hadn't won, the Pups hadn't lost so of course the Pirates defeated the Pups today. 10-2 at halftime. The crowd nearly fell asleep in the second half as no points were scored after a exciting first half. 10-2 Fulltime score.
Wirraram Region v Free Republic Independents
Wirraram managed to defeat the Free Republic 6-0 in a game that resembled more a game of Kick and Clap than Rugby League. The only points were from penalties scored by Wirraram's kicker Duane Mann.
Pool C
Aerlig Vanquishers v Tebec Titans
Aerlig ran away with this game! (Give it back!) 16-0 to the Vanquishers. Harold Gerald, how good is this guy? A hat trick of tries, THREE tries and man of the match. No conversions or penalties were scored by either side.
Most Serene Empire v Rest of New Macadam
Rest of New Macadam defeated the MSE 13-6. MSE, like Tebec, have not won a game yet in Pool C and both teams look like they have secured spaces in the Plate quarterfinals. The RoNM on the other hand could push towards a Cup QF but look most likely for a Bowl Quarterfinal.
New Bruges Earls v Terra Firma Tigers
An All United Baronies clash! Can you feel the excitement! (no? me neither) And it was a Rip-Snorter of a match too! (It sure was a slobber knocker Jimmy) The Tigers won the match 8-2 thanks to the kicking of Albert (four goals from five) Mark Llyod's radar boot was not as good for New Bruges (one goal from five) and that ultimately cost them the match.
