The World Sevens Bowl Final
Tallandor Toreadors v Most Serene Empire of the Cumquat
Cumquat opened the scoring in the 6th minute when Tommy Cornell slotted home a penalty awarded after a Head-High tackle. In the 18th Minute Tallandor were penalised for being offside and Tommy scored another Penalty to make it 4-0. By the 34th Minute the Referee was determined to take no more crap from the Toreadors and penalised them again, this time for holding the player down. Tommy with his radar boot scored another to make it 6-0. That was the score at halftime, The 48ths minute saw another head-high tackle and another penalty, and another successful kick from Tommy, 8-0 Cumquat. In the 74th minute we finally had some scoring action as Bryan Keith Holland scored a try for Cumquat. Tommy, shockingly, missed the conversion and that left the scores at 12-0. In the 78th Minute the United Baronies crowd FINALLY had something to cheer about, Diamond Dallas Page scored right under the posts. The Conversion, however, was unsuccessful and the score was 12-4 which remained the final score to give Cumquat the win. Tommy Cornell was awarded man of the match.
The World Sevens Plate Final
Califario Bears v Nova Pacaria Pirates
Some poor defence saw Darren Lockyer score a great try for Califario in the 3rd Minute, Ryan Girdler kicked the conversion to make it 6-0. In the 9th Minute Paul Harrigan made a break, and ran 30 meters to score, making it 10-0. At Halftime the score was still 10-0 and the Bears looked like they had enough left in the tank to defeat the Pirates for the Plate Final. Only four minutes into the Second half saw a good backline movement by the bears and Darren Lockyer scored his second try in the match, Ryan missed his second conversion of the night to make the score 14-0. Ryan Girdler missed a penalty shot in the games only other scoring oportunity and that left the Full Time score at 14-0. A Great win by the Califario Bears. Darren Lockyer was awarded Man of the Match.
